--CARGO BIKES AND BIKES WITH TRAILERS--

(Looking for a cargo bike or trailer to pull for the ride? Come see us at any of our locations and we will get you set up!)
The City of Memphis is participating in a national competition with other US cities to determine which city is the best for everyday bicycle riding. The measure of this quality is being determined using a little bit of whimsy - counting people doing everyday things on their bikes.
The City has chosen to conduct the counts along Broad Avenue between Tillman Street and Hollywood Street where a newly paved section just received a two-way cycle track as part of the ongoing Hampline construction.
--> Ride your bicycle along this road on the designated day at any time and be counted.
--> Ride your bicycle along this road on the designated day and meet the themed challenge and be counted for entry in the national competition.
Want to make the challenge even more fun?
--> Meet up with riders at 6:00pm on the designated day at the Overton Park Bike Gate (Sam Cooper and East Parkway) for a group ride down Broad Avenue
--> The ride will be about one mile in length along the new protected bikeways and will terminate at Rec Room (3000 Broad Avenue)
--> Rec Room will be hosting an EXCITEBIKE bracket challenge each evening of the group ride. $10 buy-in to participate in the bracket challenge with a portion of the proceeds benefiting bicycle improvements along Tillman between Broad and the Shelby Farms Greenline.
